Small Business Shopping Gift Guide
Shopping small has always been near and dear to my heart, so this year I wanted to round up a few of my very favorite small businesses to help you find meaningful gifts. I know it can feel a little less convenient than grabbing something from a big-box store, but choosing to shop small truly matters. Your purchase helps real people, keeps creative dreams alive, and pours directly back into our communities.
Whether you’re supporting a neighbor, a fellow maker, or a family-owned shop states away, I hope this guide helps you discover something special and reminds you just how impactful your choices can be. Happy gifting! ✨
1. Tatum the Label: Camo is so hot right now, and we are forever in awe of the strength of our friends at Tatum the Label (Arizona), giving grief the space it needs🖤
2. Sierra Winter Jewelry: The Easy Rider ring from Sierra Winter Jewelry (Kansas City, MO) is a staple on my stack. Snag one during their Black Friday sale for your SIL that’s always trying it on.
3. Floral Frontier: Bringing flowers (in a vase) to your host is always a kind gesture. Bringing an arrangement from Jami at Floral Frontier (Prairie Village, KS) is a surefire way to knock their socks (or shoes) off.
4. Prime Cleaning: A gift card for a deep clean is perfect for the busy mom, working woman, or just someone who loves a clean home (surprise, it’s everyone!). We’ve used Prime Cleaners LLC (Kansas City metro) for several years and will never look back.
5. Frankie & Jules: One of my favorite online and in person boutiques, Frankie & Jules, located in Leawood, KS. They’ve been in the game for 16 years and have such a good selection of trendy, affordable styles. They also host fun holiday themed events, so check them out on social media!
6. Lila’s Clayground: Priscilla of Lila’s Clayground (Kansas City, MO) creates the most stunning ceramic pieces. It’s impossible to pick a favorite, but we are smitten with these checkered cups.
7. Made Mobb: If this Midwest Cowgirl shirt doesn’t say Brooke Buck, I don’t know what does. Created by the uber-hip, Kansas City brand, Made Mobb, may it speak to your soul, too.
8. The Dough Co: Our friends Chaz and Erin recently launched their new venture: The Dough Co. (Overland Park, KS), slinging handmade frozen cookie dough that is every bit as delicious as it sounds. Our household favorites are Oreo + Monster.
9. Brooke Buck prints: Shameless self-promotion incoming... Our line-up of framed photography is such an easy, meaningful gift to give someone you love. Know a BB fan but want them to choose their fave? Grab a gift card!
10. L&C Charcuterie: Whether you’re hosting or being hosted, L&C Charcuterie (Topeka, KS & Kansas City metro) will blow you away with their gorgeous spreads.
11. Nigro’s Western Store: Speaking of KC institutions, Nigro’s Western Store (Kansas City, KS) is a Buck go-to. This horseshoe & turquoise bolo tie will be a hit with the cowboy or cowgirl in your life.
12. Golden Mercantile: Another fellow small-town girl doing big things. Golden Mercantile is based in Medicine Lodge, KS but ships everywhere. I’m obsessed with her candles, and she always finds the cutest pieces for her clothing lineup.
13. SUM Bodyworks KC Mobile Massage: IYKYK. Vincent’s integrative massages are unmatched. You can book treatments at Hand & Land in KC, but my personal favorite is his new mobile massage service. DM him to treat yourself to an at-home session.
14. Meraki Market: Every time we’re back in Western Kansas, Meraki Market (Grainfield, KS) is a non-negotiable stop. Sometimes more than once a day... Tristan truly makes the best latte on this side of the Mississippi, and I love grabbing her cookie and bread packs to add to gift baskets.
15. Giftologists: Yes, you’ve seen this bag everywhere from soccer fields to weddings and yes, it’s worth it. Shop the Bogg Bag at Giftologists (Scott City, KS) and don’t be surprised if you end up finding something for everyone on your list.
16. Studio Goldie: Reach out to Studio Goldie (Kansas City, MO) about a gift card for the friend that just moved into a new house and doesn’t know where to start making it their home. Plus a free consultation to start!
Happy Shopping!
XOXO
Brooke
